Easter 2020

Nice Easter tulips
Tulips were a successful producer for Easter. As we could not sell any due to the "Stay Home" order, they were donated to our neighbors. For next year, we will be planting more in pots. The freesia was also a success, and we will have more potted up for next year. During the last month, we have been very busy planting and potting up. It is interesting that most of our seed vendors have sold out of the common items and have stopped taking new orders until May. Our online store is now functioning for flower, herb, and vegetable purchases. Starting 01 May, we will be offering greenhouse-side pick-up of your order. Please look at our selection of plant starts and get your order in early as supplies are limited.

Mid-February 2020

Amarylis bowl

There is finally a decent snow pack, and the days are getting longer.  The greenhouse is producing lettuce slowly, along with broccoli and peas.  The freesia should be blooming in another few weeks.  Inside, the amarylis is amazing, and the early trial tulips bloomed in no time.  Perhaps we will have tulips ready for Valentines day next year.  The  early seedlings are progressing well, including rosemary, lavender, and geraniums, along with onions, shallots, and cellery.  The lisianthus germination was suprisingly well.  We should have six varieties in 6″ pots later in the season.  Tomatoes and sweet peas for the greenhouse are also off to a great start.  We continue to seed flowers every week, and will be starting vegetables soon.
